Just wanted to share this interview from Q104.3 with Shanghai Calling‘s writer/director, Daniel Hsia, and producer, Janet Yang.

The movie is playing at two theaters in NYC: Quad Cinema & Cinemart in Forest Hills.  In the Los Angeles area, Shanghai Calling is screening at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood and Laemmle Playhouse 7 in Pasadena.  Here’s your chance to see Shanghai Calling in theaters, if you missed it during the film festival runs.

NorCal/San Francisco/Bay Area fans:  Shanghai Calling will return to the Presidio on 2/22/2013!  Be sure to check out the movie before it leaves San Francisco for good!  Don’t miss out!

Who’s not a sucker for cute cake designs?!  Love the Oriental Tower, Shanghai skyline & the bicycle which has significance in the movie…LOL.  This beautiful cake &  [I ♥ SH] cookies were designed by Kimberly Bailey at The Butter End Cakery. Can’t wait to see Shanghai Calling!

Last Minute Update!

Hello, everyone!  I do apologize for the misinformation.  KBS has changed it’s policies since last Saturday.  You now have to register prior to being able to view TV shows via live stream.  So, unless you’re already registered with KBS international fans will not be able to watch Road for Hope.  :(  We shall just remain hopeful that we’ll be able to see it in the future.  My apologies again!  Hope the lucky fans in Korea are able to watch the documentary.  Have a great weekend, everyone!

Since international fans couldn’t watch Daniel’s segment (6 of 7 segments in total) on Road for Hope…here’s the KBS page for the documentary.  Heart-wrenching story of people living in extreme poverty and dire conditions after being driven from their homes by drought, famine & war conflict.

November 28, 2011 – It’s birthday time again!  Just recalling last year’s surprise birthday party at AE’s office  makes us smile – and we weren’t even there (but we did know about it :) )!

We at Hermosa USA would like to officially wish Daniel a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY – even if he is spending it traveling to Hong Kong.   Wishing Daniel safe travels, good food, fun times with friends & loved ones!
